Linernotes
This music was
recorded during the course of a three night engagement, at the Jazzcorner
in Mannheim. The material arranged to more or less recreate the
sound of a typical set, we therefore begin with a blues and close
with a "sign-off", the 52nd Street Theme.
Through the use of traditional "standards", we are seeking
a balanced expression, where creative improvisation can be allied
with the strength and wisdom to be found in the well-springs of
the jazz-tradition.
We do hope you
enjoy this album.
